Here is a brief overview of just a few of the current initiatives:
JobMaker Hiring Credit
- Financial support available to businesses when you create a new job for a job seeker
- Must work at least 20 paid hours per week on average and had been on JobSeeker, Youth or parenting payment prior to employment.
- For 16 to 29 years old, you may be eligible for $200 per week; or
- For 30 to 35 years old, you may be eligible for $100 per week
- Claim through the ATO

Department Wage Subsidies
- Work ready job seekers with wage subsidies up to $10,000
- Payable over 6 months
- Assistance with PPE, supply of tools, re-imburse medical costs or work tickets
- Assistance with transport or relocation costs

Supporting Apprenticeships and Trainees Wage Subsidy
Receive up to 50% of an apprentice or trainees gross wages over 12 months, up to $7,000 per quarter
You may be eligible if you:
- Have less than 200 employees
- Are using a Group Training organisation to support your apprentice or trainee.

Boosting Apprentices and Trainees Wage Subsidy
Receive up to 50% of an Apprentice or Trainees gross wages over 12 months, up to $7,000 per quarter
- Capped at 100,000 places nationally
- Applies from 5 October 2020 to 30 September 2021 (or until national caps have been used)
